What's the best age for a newborn photoshoot?
The best age for a newborn photoshoot is anywhere between 7-21 days. I do take newborns up to 6 weeks, however, they are a bit more awake than a baby under 21 days old.
What should I wear to a photoshoot?
I recommend neutral tones with no clashing patterns or large logos. Choose clothing that you will feel comfortable in. If you don't feel comfortable, it will show in your images. Once you've picked your outfits for the session, lay them on your bed and make sure you are happy with them. I also have a stunning client wardrobe for maternity and newborn sessions (for mum and Bub). Get in touch if you would like to have a look at what pieces I have for you to borrow for your session. I have attached a link below to my current client wardrobe.
My partner doesn't like getting their photo taken, what should I do?
My photo sessions are laid back and fun. So many people comment that they didn't want to initially have their photos taken but ended up enjoying it and wanting to book in again. Feel free to reach out if you wish to discuss your concerns with me.
What if my child doesn't participate?
I have a full guide about how to prepare your child for a photo session. I get the family snaps out of the way first and then on to the natural shots (which are the ones I love the most). My best advice is not to discipline your child during the session, let me be in charge. I'm a very patient person when it comes to children - trust me, you'll be in good hands.
When will I get my photos?
I send a sneak peek (1 or 2 images) of the session within 48 hours. My current turn around time for galleries is 2 weeks.
Do I get to choose the images I receive in my high res album?
Yes of course! Depending on the length of the session, I will send you a good number of photos to choose from. You also have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to your entire album if you choose.
